So let’s talk about how long it takes to find a home. Some of my buyers look at 20+ houses before they find “the one” they want to call home. Others fall in love with the very first home we look at. I am always happy to visit as many houses as it take and DO whatever it takes to make sure my buying clients find that perfect property for them. And trust me, I can relate to having to look at a TON of houses before I find the right one.

How long it took me

When I first moved to OKC 15 years ago, I was actually in corporate housing in Edmond. It was a beautiful yellow cottage right off of 4th and Broadway. The neighborhood was so quaint and welcoming that I called it Mayberry.

I had leased the finished home from a woman ahead of her times. It was 2007 and she had the Airbnb or homes haring concept down to an art! She was not only my landlord, but when she found out I was looking to buy a home, she became my realtor. We spent many, many weeks together looking for homes. One of the best things I got from that experience, other than a great house, was a great friend. Thank you Joyce for putting up with me and all of those houses!

So we started looking on weekends. I looked all over Edmond and then realized I wanted to live “in the City!” So we then added Tuesdays to our showing schedules.

I was so close to giving up. But not Joyce! We finally found the perfect corner lot in Putnam Heights. Joyce and I joked later that it only took 50 houses! And you know what? I went back and counted as many as I could and it really was around that number.

Well, I spent 7 years in that awesome house and made many wonderful memories.

When you know, you know….

Like my clients, it hold true for me as well. It’s like I always say, when you know, you know.

It’s a Great Time to sell your home!  Think about it….

With less homes on the market, you have less competition! And tons of buyers out there!

But, it’s also a good time to buy a home in certain price ranges and certain locations in the OKC Metro.
