Fishing Spots in the OKC Metro

Saturday is National Catch and Release Day – the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy a great day of fishing around the OKC Metro.

Here are some top fishing spots to check out and celebrate this weekend:

Lake Hefner (OKC)
A local favorite with plenty of shoreline access and great for bass and catfish.

Lake Overholser (OKC)
Known for its scenic views and solid crappie and bass fishing.

Arcadia Lake (Arcadia)
Just east of Edmond, this spot offers excellent fishing for bass, catfish, and sunfish.

Dolese Youth Park Pond (OKC)
A smaller, easy-access pond that’s great for a quick, relaxed fishing trip.

Wild Horse Park Pond (Mustang)
This pond is part of the “Close to Home” fishing program in the OKC metro area. You can catch catfish, bluegill, and bass here.

Lake Stanley Draper (OKC)
A beautiful lake to enjoy nice and quiet fishing.
